Eating with the chefs
Food & Talk | Monday, Oct 1 | 6.30pm

Summer is over, and we are excited to pick up our tradition of monthly Food & Talk evenings!

We also just opened our new restaurant and are excited to have Lotta and Per-Anders Jörgensen the founders of Fool Magazine with us on Oct 1, 2018!

Based in Malmö, they will cross the bridge and share their story about an amazing cook book project they did together some years ago and discuss their insights on food writing, food photography and every day meals with us.

More background info taken from the book

“As a documentary photographer the most important thing for me has always been the human story. It has been fascinating to capture staff among the debris of the dining room after service because it opens a whole other world. The good-natured banter and teasing, impassioned discussions on football and politics, love and food reinforces and mirrors how we come together as societies.”

“Restaurants have been important to me ever since, as the place you feed yourself after a long day, somewhere to socialize with friends and family, and where you come to celebrate so many events in life. When I look back I realize it was the ultimate introduction to an exciting life as a photographer, equipped with a napkin in one hand and a camera in the other.”

Eating with the chefs

Eating with the Chefs documents the daily meal shared by chefs and front-of-house staff at eighteen top restaurants. Captured through exquisite photography by Per-Anders Jörgensen and intimate portraits based on interviews done by Lotta Jörgensen, easy-to-follow recipes Eating with the Chefsprovides a unique insight into the ordinary food behind the immaculate kitchen walls.

It features over 200 unpublished photographs and 50 easy to make recipes for favorite staff meals at a wide range of restaurants such as El Celler de Can Roca, Blue Hill at Stone Barns, Chez Panisse, The French Laundry, Roberta’s, Attica and Noma.
