French Classics at Glyptoteket

Presented by Glyptoteket

Dive into French art and gastronomy as the Glyptotek invites you to an atmospheric evening during Copenhagen Cooking 2025.

The evening begins with a guided tour through the museum’s impressive collection of French art. You’ll discover some of the museum’s most iconic works and the stories behind them. The tour lasts approximately 30 minutes.

Afterwards, a French-inspired dinner awaits you in the Glyptotek’s café, Picnic, where the menu takes its cue from this year’s Copenhagen Cooking theme: onions! The dinner pays tribute to the French region of Provence and offers refined flavour experiences centred around onions in various forms – all enjoyed with a view of the lush and evocative Winter Garden.

The Café is run by Lasse Askov, he has more than 15 years of experience with events and guests. Previously, he influenced the Copenhagen restaurant scene and was awarded a Michelin star in 2009 at restaurant Kokkeriet.

This Year's Main Star: Onion
In 2025, we celebrate the onion in all its forms – from the crisp and fresh to the slowly caramelized. The onion is more than just an ingredient; it's a flavor carrier that can transform any meal. Copenhagen Cooking invites you on a culinary journey through the many layers of the onion, where taste, creativity, and community are at the heart of it all. Read more about this year’s main star here.

Provence is the friendship region of the year at Copenhagen Cooking 2025 — known for its sunny landscapes, rich food culture, and love for simple, high-quality ingredients. During the festival, we’ll bring Provence to Copenhagen with the flavors, scents, and atmosphere of the South of France.
