Frederiksberg Harvest Feast - Hahnemanns Kitchen

In 2016, Trine Hahnemann participated in Frederiksberg Harvest Feast under the headline "Food, traditions and culture go hand in hand". In 2018, Trine & Co will return and focus on food waste in this year in line with the Copenhagen Cooking & Food Festivals focus area.

Hahnemanns Køkken would like to invite you to a delicious summer party autumn dinner in collaboration with the organic farmers Stenbølgaard and Hegnsholt Hønseri. If we are to be better at reducing our waste and having a future with minimal food waste, we can’t avoid looking at the relationship and cooperation between farmers and the restaurants. This is why, we would like to invite you to a tasty and delicious dinner, where the menu is based on produces carefully selected from the farmer.

A future of zero food waste requires close cooperation, where the farmer plans and grows produces on request, and the restaurant uses what is available to the farmer - a principle that Frederiksberg Harvest Feast helps to push.

The farmers

Hegnsholt Hønseri is located in Lejre, where they practice organic farming without compromise. Everything Hegnsholt takes on itself has a clear focal point: the absolute well-being of the animals. All activities in production simply take the basis of supporting the animal's welfare and keeping them as animals - not as production units.

Stensbølgård is an organic farm and farm shop, located in the beautiful Hornsherred in the municipality of Lejre. They turned into organic production in 1998, as it was important for the two owners, Kirsten and Johan, to take better care of nature.

Menu

  • Cold vegetable soup with herbs, bread and buttermilk butter
  • Braised pork, cabbage, horseradish, herbs and black barley, Hegnsholt
  • Vegetables from Stenbølgaard
  • Butter milk panna cotta with berries and crushed meringue

The practicalities

You must bring your plate, cutlery and glass yourself. • It is possible to buy beverages on the day. • You will be sitting at the restaurant you buy the ticket, so be sure to buy tickets for the same restaurant if you want to sit together. • We meet at 17.00 and at 18.00 dinner is served. At 21.00 we say thank you for food and see you again next year. • In case of rain, we have taken care of plan B.

Partners

Frederiksberg Harvest Feast is a partnership between Municipality of Frederiksberg, Økologisk Landsforening and Copenhagen Cooking & Food Festival. Supported by the Tuborg Foundation. Jalm&B will put delicious Artisan-bread on the table, and Il Fornaio will provide organic olive oil to dip the bread in. Ramlösa will put water on the table for the guests.
