Frederiksberg Harvest Feast: Meyers Deli x Besøgsgården Saxenhøj

Meyers Deli On Gammel Kongevej has since 2005 provided tasty food and pastries for the local area. They are again this year participating in Frederiksberg Harvest Feast and will in collaboration with Besøgsgården Saxenhøj create a wonderful 3-course menu.

Meyers Deli
is a local eatery in the middle of Frederiksberg. They make simple and tasty meals from scratch - both for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The kitchen is very close to nature, where the seasons are the guiding principle and ecology, and animal welfare are at the center. Meyers Deli likes to top the menus with Meyers' own production of charcuterie, salmon, vinegar, fruit and must.

Besøgsgården Saxenhøj has since 1999 been running as an organic farm. The farm is run by Guldborgsund Handicap, which means that citizens with physical or mental disabilities help to feed the animals, grow vegetables and sell meat and crops in the farm's shop. Claus Meyer and Hotel Sakskøbing have rented 2 acres of the farm's land. Here, gardener Maria Birna Arnardóttir grows more than 100 different crops.

The practicalities: • You must bring your own plate, cutlery and glasses. • We provide both beer and wine bars on the avenue. • You will be sitting at the restaurant you are buying a ticket for, so remember to buy tickets for the same restaurant if you would like to sit together. • We meet from 5:00 p.m., and at 6:00 p.m. we all sit at the table. At 9.00 p.m. we say thank you for the food and see you next year. • In case of rain, we have provided a roof over your head.

Menu

Starter:
Grilled leeks with browned butter, capers, shallots, lemon zest and hazelnuts - topped with øland croutons and watercress

Main course:
Beef blade. Variety of cabbage with onion cress, pickled mushrooms & sour apples. New Danish potatoes with butter and herbs

Dessert:
Raspberry slices. White chocolate ganache, pickled late summer berries, tarragon crunch and licorice syrup
