Join renowned chef and food writer Mikkel Karstad for an intimate outdoor seafood dinner set against the striking backdrop of BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group’s iconic headquarters in Nordhavn.

As part of this year’s Copenhagen Cooking, Karstad will craft a refined, seasonal menu featuring the freshest fish and shellfish – served in his unmistakably Nordic, minimalist style. In this raw and beautiful harbor landscape, as the sun sets over the water and the city lights begin to glow, the pace slows down and every detail becomes a tribute to place, season, and craft.

Mikkel Karstad, an accomplished chef and celebrated cookbook author, places a profound emphasis on creating sensory-rich culinary experiences rooted in his innate curiosity for the natural world and the bountiful array of seasonal vegetables it offers. With a distinguished background in Michelin-starred restaurants, Mikkel is renowned for his culinary expertise. He has notably authored the Evergreen cookbook, a masterpiece where the harmonious blend of gastronomic delight and visual aesthetics takes center stage. His overarching goal is to ignite inspiration for a greener and more seasonally-informed approach to eating, encouraging the utilization of fresh, locally-sourced vegetables.
