Build Your Own Dream Hot Dog – Together with the Whole Family!

Welcome to a fun and flavorful Hotdog Workshop where both kids and adults can join in.

We will start in the kitchen, where you'll learn to make delicious toppings from scratch: whip up your own mayo, fry some crispy golden onions, and try your hand at other tasty elements. Then it's off to the grill, where you choose your favorite bread and a sausage – with or without meat. Finally, we’ll head to the "pimp station" where you build your very own dream hotdog.

Each session lasts 30 minutes and offers plenty of time to learn, experiment, and taste. Afterwards, we’ll move out to the Festival Square so you can enjoy the final result together.

Bring your own container for your homemade mayo and fried onions.

Your Hosts
The Hotdog Workshop is presented by Lunas Køkken og Morgendagens Madtalenter.

Morgendagens Madtalenter is an accelerator program for young people aged 20–30 who are either pursuing or have completed a culinary education and dream of starting their own food venture. The project helps them develop their skills, make the right connections, and turn their ideas into reality.

Lunas Køkken is based on Nørrebro and is a cooking school focused on gastronomic team-building, cooking courses, and events for both private and businesses. Along the way, you will be guided by skilled chefs who will teach you how to create the perfect toppings for the ultimate hotdog.

About the Sausages
The gourmet sausages have been developed in collaboration with Slagter-Riget and Ida Schellerup.

Slagter-Riget is Aarhus' oldest butcher shop, known for its focus on quality, craftsmanship, and love of raw ingredients. Ida Schellerup is a trained gourmet butcher, winner of the 2024 Butcher Award, and a member of Morgendagens Madtalenters advisory board. Despite her young age, she already has 7 years of experience in the industry.
