Debate: Cattle under pressure – can we eat our way to a greener landscape?

Presented by Copenhagen Cooking

Cattle and the Complexity of Our Food and Landscape
Tune in and ask questions during a complex and nuanced conversation about the role of cattle in the future food system – and it certainly requires keeping a clear head.

We know that cattle and CO? emissions make headlines, and beef is increasingly being pushed out of professional kitchens, where climate KPIs are highly relevant. It’s a different story in private kitchens, where beef consumption isn’t dropping significantly.

Meanwhile, major reforms of our landscape are underway – for example, the tripartite agreement points toward a future where grazing grasslands will require a lot of cattle – and that cattle needs to be eaten, but by whom?

Overall, cattle can do a lot – and cattle also come with downsides. Join us in shedding light and asking questions about all the nuances when we talk about cattle and a green food system.

Facts, visions, contradictions – and perhaps, just perhaps, a chance for long-term synergy will be flying through the air.

The Cattle Debate is supported by Kvægafgiftsfonden.
