Foodwalk Along the Seaside

Presented by GoEat

On this foodwalk you go from Nordhavn to Nyhavn. On the tour you get a good insight into how the city's harbor environment is constantly changing and developing, and - not least - how it is reflected in the food it offers. There will be five+ stops on the tour, where food-tastings are served. It will be possible to buy drinks to go with the food. Spend a cozy Saturday in the company of your friends and get a different dining experience and inspiration for future restaurant visits.

The walk starts in the new part of Nordhavn at Just A Winebar residing in The Silo. Nordhavn is well into its transformation into a high end neighborhood, which naturally houses a winebar. We recommend arriving a bit ahead of schedule and checking out the Nordhavn history exhibition at the other side of the building, showing past present and future architecture of the area. Just A Winebar will serve charcuterie with bread and cheeses (which compliments their wine, available to purchase on the side.)

Next stop is Buvette Nordhavn, a french contributor to Nordhavns cozy envorinment. The Bistro is located right next to the seaside, on the corner of a small square, encircled by several other eateries, will serve French crisp surprise with Piment Espelette.

Onwards through Nordhavn we reach Storehouse, a restaurant in another square, a bit further from the water, on Amerika Kaj. It is a part of the apartment hotel Andina, where residents stay longer though on temporary basis. Apartment hotels rise in most major cities and offer kitchens and washing machine and such in the apartments. In this multinational environment Storehouse serves us a very Nordic dish: Beetroot-salmon.

Further on our walk we will pass countless tourists huddled around The Little Mermaid on the left hand side with Kastellet (former military barracks) on our right. Our next stop is Løgismose Toldboden - a gourmet supermarket. The supermarket is located at the end of the area that used to be the customs area of Copenhagen. Now - aside from housing a couple shops - it is where the Queen of Denmark boards The Royal Yacht. Løgismose will be serving their homemade tapas.

At the other end of Toldboden - or the customs area - is Scandic Front. With a glass of Sangria in hand you can look at The Opera, The Royal Operahouse and the surrounding architecture.

We carry on past Nyhavn and on to the pedestrian area of Copenhagen and end the tour at Blomst located between Royal Copenhagen and Georg Jensen, the great Danish silversmith. Blomst offers the traditonel Danish "smørrebrød" (open rye bread sandwich).

If you have food allergies, please let us know when buying your ticket.

We look forward to see you!
