Onions for the people: Copenhagen Cooking opens with a vintage tractor parade and free onions!

On Friday, August 15th, from 1-3pm, three decorated vintage tractors will roll through Copenhagen – filled with Danish onions and lots of festival atmosphere. At selected locations, we will be handing out free onions to passersby as the kick-off for Copenhagen Cooking 2025.
The onion is the main character of the year – and we are celebrating this in collaboration with the Danish Onion Growers Association, which has delivered both onions and rural charm to the city.
So keep an eye out for the onion caravan, take an onion home and feel how the city begins to smell like a festival.
