Welcome to an unforgettable late summer evening at Gammel Strand, where we celebrate community and honour the sustainable riches of the sea. At historic Gammel Strand, where Copenhagen's fishwives traded fish by the canal for centuries until 2008, Krog's Fish Restaurant and Den Grønne Kutter fishmarket from TorvehallerneKBH invite you to a culinary experience with fresh, sustainably caught fish and seafood. For Copenhagen Cooking 2024, we are bringing fish back to Gammel Strand!
Enjoy a delicious menu that reflects the importance of sustainable fishing and the conservation of our marine environment. Choose from two unique seating sections, each featuring seasonal menus that capture the sustainable wealth of the sea and the essence of summer in Copenhagen: Krog's Fish Restaurant and Den Grønne Kutter from TorvehallerneKBH.
The ticket price includes a festival beer (or water) and the option to purchase beverages throughout the dinner. Bringing your own beverages is not permitted.
Your host
Welcome to Krog's Fish Restaurant – one of Copenhagen’s oldest and most beautiful restaurants. With roots dating back to 1910, Krogs has been a centre for gastronomy and culture. Our history began as a fish restaurant, created by Christian Krog(h) on Gammel Strand, where the fishwives sold the day’s fresh catch. With the best artists and architects, he created a beautiful setting for the dining experience.
Our traditions from Christian Krog(h) continue, and we are proud to be an important landmark in Copenhagen, contributing to the city’s identity and charm. Our goal is to offer the city’s best, fresh fish in unique surroundings where tradition meets innovation. We look forward to welcoming you to our unique setting and serving the city’s best, fresh fish.
The sale ends at 12, August 22.
In case of rain...
Please note that there are two different types of tickets available for this event; one will be cancelled and the other will move indoors to Krogs Fish Restaurant if the weather looks to be very, very bad. You will be notified directly by email in such a case. The decision will be made no later than three days before the event takes place.

Cabbage in focus
This year's headliner at Copenhagen Cooking 2024 is cabbage, and under the heading Cabbage Love, it will play an undisputed leading role in the ambition to make this versatile vegetable even more attractive.
Cabbage is full of flavour, affordable, filling, full of health and good for the body and the climate - and it thrives in our local climate. See all food events with cabbage in focus here and buy this year's cabbage poster by Pine Cone Project here.
