Pizza Dinner with Gorm, Il Fornaio & Friends

Take a seat at the long table when Gorm Wisweh and Copenhagen Cooking invite you to a festive pizza dinner following the day’s Pizza Champion Cup. Tonight’s hosts are none other than Gorm Wisweh himself, joined by the day’s esteemed panel of pizza judges, who will be sharing their favourite recipes and their love for the Italian classic.

The day’s competing pizzaiolos will stop by to round off the competition in great company, with tall tales, plenty of pizza – and a toast to Denmark’s best pizzaiolos of 2025.

Your host & his friends

Gorm Wisweh is known as Denmark’s very own pizza king. He opened his first pizza restaurant in 2008 and has since shaped the nation’s pizza habits with his passion for sourdough, quality ingredients, and down-to-earth food experiences. Gorm is also a TV chef, cookbook author, and co-owner of a number of popular restaurants across the country.

Joining Gorm at the table are the judges from the Pizza Champion Cup:

  • Mike Arvblom – World Pizza Champion & Head Judge

  • Luciano Sorbillo – Renowned Italian pizzaiolo

  • David Johansen – Former Michelin-starred chef & MasterChef judge

  • Giorgia Riggio – World Pizza Championship (WPC) judge

  • Hannah Grant – Danish chef known from GO'morgen Danmark, Masterchef Jul, and the UCI World Tour cycling team Team Saxo Bank. She has also worked at Noma, Melsted Badehotel, and The Fat Duck. Hannah Grant has published several books, including The Grand Tour CookBook, which has been translated into five languages, as well as her most recent book about pizza

  • Jon Edlund – Known from The Great Bake Off and the man behind Jon’s Madklub. Jon is a trained pizzaiolo from AVPN in Naples

Il Fornaio’s organic frozen sourdough pizza dough balls make it easy to create an authentic pizza experience at home. Made with our own sourdough and organic Italian Tipo 0 wheat flour, this is an elastic, flavourful dough with characteristic sourdough bubbles, great texture, and a deep, rich taste.

MENU

A three-course pizza menu will be served family-style, composed of Gorm’s and the judges’ personal favourites – from crisp classics to creative reinterpretations.

The pizza dough is made with Il Fornaio’s own sourdough and organic Italian Tipo 0 wheat flour – an elastic and flavourful dough with characteristic sourdough bubbles, excellent structure, and a deep, rich taste.

All cheese is supplied by Arla and Arla Unika.
