With DJ and sound curator Rikke Brox behind the decks, the festival square transforms into a glowing open-air dance floor. The music streams directly into your ears, and you can switch between multiple channels depending on your mood – maybe you’ll groove to disco, swing your hips to old school soul, or lose yourself in deep afrohouse rhythms.

Rikke Brox – also known under the aliases Rix Bronx and Betty Bronx – is a prominent figure on the Danish DJ scene, with more than 25 years of experience behind the decks. Her musical journey has taken her from Copenhagen to Tokyo and back again, with performances at iconic venues such as Bar25, TS Bar, Rust, and Distortion, as well as appearances at festivals and events both in Denmark and abroad. Most recently, she’s added Smukfest 2025 to her already impressive résumé.

Rooted in vinyl and with a deep love for carefully selected tracks, Rikke creates sensory and intimate sound experiences that guide audiences through an eclectic mix of old school pop, soul, Motown, disco, afrohouse, and hidden b-sides. Her ability to read a room and build a vibe feels almost intuitive – and time and again, she brings people together in musical moments where bodies take over, and time slips away.

In addition to her work as a DJ, Rikke is also a sound facilitator and the founder of Denmark’s first education in sound journeys – a pioneering concept that merges musical expertise with pedagogical insight.
