On Saturday the 28th of August, Copenhagen Cooking will once again focus on our iconic food, smørrebrød (open-faced sandwich) on Smørrebrødets Dag 2022. With endless variations of traditional and ??new smørrebrødet manages to maintain its status as a favorite on menu cards across the country. In our best restaurants, classic and modern interpretations stand side by side, where old virtues and creativity are combined in the most beautiful way.
We continue to celebrate this for Smørrebrødets Dag, where we once again invite some of the most prominent chefs to give us their bid for the best smørrebrød. This year's restaurants are:
The ticket includes six pieces of signature Smørrebrød (NOTE! Each of the pieces are half the size of normal, but large enough!) and our own ice-cold festival beer from Jacobsen.
Each seating lasts for 1,5 hour.

Baked tomatoes with marinated chantarelles, tarragon mayo and toasted buckwheat

Smoked mackarel, new danish potatoes, fresh cheese, jalapeno and dill oil

Tatare with Comté, pickeled berries and black pepper mayo
Restaurant Schønnemanns
Sea Sprat with lemon and pepper mayo, grilled lemon and toast

Pickled Herring with kale, miso and lingon berries
Restaurant Kronborg
Rillette on Seasonal Fish with apple and Jerusalem artichokes
Served with our ice cold festival beer from Husbryggeriet Jacobsen
