Frederiksberg Harvest Feast: Bjørnekælderen x Fiskerikajen

Although the renovation of Bjørnekælderen's historic premises on Frederiksberg Allé 55 is taking place right now, you can already at this year's Frederiksberg Harvest Feast get a taste of what the restaurant has to offer. They have invited their friends from Fiskerikajen to cook a 3-course grill menu with a focus on sustainable fishing.

Bjørnekælderen on Frederiksberg Allé opens again with Mads Dalsborg in front as head chef. Mads, who has previously been head chef at e.g., Mondän and Bistro panpan in Copenhagen Zoo, and the rest of the team is currently preparing for an opening later this year. The menu at Bjørnekælderen will consist of modern interpretations of the open sandwich and dishes based on French cuisine with a focus on Nordic ingredients that gives the food a modern twist.

Fiskerikajen has, since 1999, supplied seafood of the highest quality to both private homes and restaurants. The passion for the good ingredients and an uncompromising pursuit of the best quality is what drives the people behind. Fiskerikajen works on the principle 'Respect for the sea' and supports sustainable fishing.

The practicalities: • You must bring your own plate, cutlery and glasses. • We provide both beer and wine bars on the avenue. • You will be sitting at the restaurant you are buying a ticket for, so remember to buy tickets for the same restaurant if you would like to sit together. • We meet from 5:00 p.m., and at 6:00 p.m. we all sit at the table. At 9.00 p.m. we say thank you for the food and see you next year. • In case of rain, we have provided a roof over your head.

Menu

Starter:
Scallops, cooked on hay, in its own shell, with celery, yuzu and browned butter.

Main course:
Whole grilled turbot, summer cabbage with Gammel Knas and vinaigrette on browned butter and champagne. Potato salad with leek and lovage.

Dessert:
Ice cream cake in two layers.
1 layer - blackcurrant sorbet flavored with yuzu
2 layers - ice cream on browned butter and vanilla
