A tribute to the Danish hot dog

Presented by Copenhagen Cooking

This year, an institution in Copenhagen turns 100 years old. And of course it must be celebrated! The ‘pølsevogn’ (sausage cart )has played an important role in Danish food culture since 1921, and although the classic sausage cart is under pressure by many new types of street food, we at Copenhagen Cooking would like to celebrate the Danish hot dog and the city's sausage men and women.

We do this with a very special four-course hot dog tasting menu, where you can taste both the traditions, the craft and the future of the hot dog.

And we have - if we must say so ourselves - found some of the very best to make the hot dog menu. These are Allan's Sausages, John's Hotdog deli, Gemyse in Tivoli and Hahnemann's Kitchen.

The menu is served in our large restaurant tent and the menu includes draft beer from Jacobsen, a water or a glass of organic wine. The price is 149 DKK + fee (11 DKK).

'A tribute to the Danish hot dog' is supported by 'Sommerpakken' - a help package from the Danish parliament.
