Kompasset and Krenkerup have set course for an evening where guests are navigated through a four-course menu with beer from Krenkerup Brewery.

During the dinner, Thomas from Krenkerup will talk about the beers that are served.

Menu:

Snack:
A fried oyster with curry cream and lemon pearls - The beer we use in the dough - in which the oyster is dipped before it is fried - is weissbier from Krenkerup. This weissbier is fresh with a creamy fullness and banana scent.

Beer pairing for the snack: drink with homemade ‘snaps’ of beach herps mixed with IPA from Krenkerup and citrus syrup.

Starter:
Beer-poached fish served with roasted cucumber, crudite of radish, smoked cheese and watercress - The fish is poached in IPA from Krenkerup, which is a bitter hop beer with balanced sweetness and fresh citrus that goes well with the fish's delicate taste.

Beer pairing for starters: Krenkerup gold 25 cl. - Krenkerup gold is a lager / light lager with a balanced balance between the sweetness of the malt and the bitterness of the hops.

Main course:
Pork cheeks braised in brown ale, served with a variety of beets, wild mushrooms, glass cabbage and chervil oil - Brown ale from Krenkerup is their signature beer from Lolland- It is a mild brown ale that supports the taste in pork cheeks.

Beer pairing for the main course: Krenkerup brown ale 25 cl. Krenkerup brown ale with dark roasted malt has notes of caramel, toast and chocolate.

Dessert:
Warm ‘bread-porridge’ flavored with citrus served with apple compote, caramelized bread and ‘beer-porridge’ ice cream - we have used weissbier from Krenkerup which gives the porridge a wonderful sweetness. Weissbier is a wheat beer, in the ale category, which is nice on sweetness and therefore fits well in desserts.

Drink for dessert: Harvey Weissbanger - Galiano, orange juice and weissbier from Krenkerup.
