Wild food is know under quite a few terms and names, mainly foraging. To forage is to gather food or wood from nature. We are now giving guided tours on Amagerfælled, where we will forage edible plants, flowers and herbs.

The trip be with Thomas and Nina and we will guide you around in nature to see what wild food we can find. Thomas Askov is a professionel chef with many years experience of cooking with foraged and wild food, and will happily share cooking tips during the tour. Nina is a nature enthusiast and will teachyou the names, help you find and identify the wild edible plants.
Together they have the company Kokkemanden.com where they share recipes, videos and photos of regular food and wild foraged food. Now they have started this company Sanketure to share the joy of foraged food with others.

We can't guarantee certain plants as nature runs it's own course, and the animals also enjoy natures pantry, but we do expect to find enough for a meal you can take home and cook to really get a taste of wild food. We focus on the gastronomic aspect on our foraging excursions and we care about making meals wild, foraged and always delicious.

The trip starts at DR Byen metro station, on the grass, where we will venture into Amagerfælled and begin our foraging in nature Saturday the 6th of June 2020 at 01:00 PM.
It will be around 2 hours and we expect to walk around 5 km.
Dress according to the weather and feel free to bring a herb knife, scissors, bags, tubs or baskets for your foraged goods. If you are missing some foraging supplies, we can also supply this, just send us a mail to kontakt@sanketure.dk before the trip and let us know what your are interested in and we will bring it for the trip. We recommend bringing gloves as well, in these Covid-19 times we want to make sure we keep each other and ourselves safe and healthy, we will supply hand sanitizer.
