WORLDS BEST HOT DOGS FOR A GOOD CAUSE

Top Dog is a competition where chefs from all over the world come to Copenhagen to make their version of the world’s greatest hot dog. In the competition, top chefs from Japan, Norway, Belgium, England, Ireland, Venezuela, Kurdistan and Denmark will compete for the title of Top Dog.

The participants are:

Hiroki Yoshitake (Restaurant Sola, Paris). Repræsenterer Japan.

Douglas McMaster (Restaurant Silo, Brighton). Repræsenterer England.

Benoit Dewitte (Restaurant Benoit & Bernard Dewitte, Zingem). Repræsenterer Belgien.

JP McMahon (Restaurant Aniar, Galway). Repræsenterer Irland.

Federico Martin Tischler (Restaurant Alma, Baltimore). Repræsenterer Venezuela.

Knut Lake (Restaurant Urban Eatery, Oslo). Repræsenterer Norge.

Jeppe Foldager (Restaurant Alberto K, København). Repræsenterer Danmark.

Yasser Rahim Naz & Anas Amin (Restaurant SAK, Samsø). Repræsenterer Kurdistan.

The judges’ table is star-studded as well. Among others, you’ll find Noma’s René Redzepi, Jonathan Gold, the Pulitzer prize-winning food critic for the Los Angeles Times, and Chris Ying, editor in chief at Lucky Peach.

At the competition, you’ll find hot dogs like you’ve never seen them before, and everything you pay will be donated uncut to CARE DanmarkDenmark’s humanitarian project in Tanzania, “Everyone has the right to eat”.
