”Grim Buffet”: A sustainable buffet created by FOOD CLUB, GRIM & TOO GOOD TO GO

Not all fruits and vegetables fit retail beauty standards. About 1/6 of all veggies and fruit grown are lost on farms, where in some cases every second piece is tossed due to cosmetic flaws. Every second! In Denmark alone, that amounts to about 160.000 tons a year. Globally about 21% of the world’s freshwater use and 28% of arable land goes to grow food we don’t eat.

In collaboration with FOOD CLUB in Nørrebro the two women behind GRIM, Carolin Schiemer and Petra Kaukua, shines a light on the issue. GRIM delivers unsightly fruits and veggies to restaurants as well as private consumers in the form of food boxes. The produce will be incorporated as part of a grand and green buffet showing that ugly ingredients may just as well transform into a beautiful taste experience.

You have 1,5 hour to eat your way through the vegetarian and vegan dishes on the buffet. There won't be any meat on the table. After the buffet TOO GOOD TO GO will be handing out goodiebags with surprises and leftovers to take home. In that way the dinner will be sustainable all the way through, because all food deserves to be enjoyed!
