Neighborhood Dinners: Sundby
Presented by Copenhagen Cooking & Food Festival
Copenhagen consists of many different neighborhoods with totally different identities and atmosphere. At this dinner you will meet the local people in the neighborhood of Sundby and dine together with 99 other happy people at a communal table. You bring your own main course, while Yngve Fobian from Øens Spisested will arrange a fresh fish starter served with bread and mayonnaise made from crabs.
In 1902 Sundby - located on the island of Amager - was incorporated into the City of Copenhagen, but Sundby still has its own identity and edge. We will honor and celebrate with a long table dinner for the 'Sundbyer' and the rest of Copenhagen in Sundby Idrætspark.
The event takes place outdoors, so bring a warm sweater. If the weather is not with us, we move the dinner indoors. You are welcome to bring your own drinks and there will also be the opportunity to buy beer, wine and water at the bar.
'Neighborhood Dinners' are supported by the City of Copenhagen.
Cutlery, plates and glasses will be provided. Just focus on bringing a main dish.
It will be possible to buy drinks on site.
The evening's program
5:30pm We will be ready to greet you with a welcome drink. There will be time to explore the area before we give our welcome speech.
6:00pm We take our seats around the tables and presen the evening's program with all the great locals involved.
6:15pm We are ready to eat togehter and enjoy the first course. A dish from Yngve consisiting cod served three ways and bread with crab mayonaise. Afterwards we are ready to enjoy each others company and share the dishes brought by everyone.
In the course of the night there will be smaller speeches from the locals, so you can look forward to a night of celebrations for Sundy and its unique skills and you get to know your city better!
Remember to bring a warm sweater.
